How Have the Trims Changed for 2019?

Once you stop by the dealership to get to know more about the new Nissan Altima for 2019, you will notice that there are five distinctive trim levels available to choose from. These include the S, the SR, the SV, the SL and the Platinum.

All trim levels have new dimensions, and this includes a longer, wider and lower stance than the 2018 model year had. Even the base trim comes excellent standard features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a color touchscreen for the infotainment system and more. While the base S trim level for 2019 is well-appointed with excellent carryover and new trim levels, the SR is an exciting step up from the S.

The SR is the sport model, and it comes with enhanced stitching on the seats, standard paddle shifters, 19-inch wheels and a revised suspension and steering functionality. Standard leather seating, powered and heated front seats, a larger infotainment screen and other excellent features are standard in the higher trim levels.

A great way to compare the many standard features, optional features and available packages for each of the five Altima trims for 2019 is to stop by the dealership for a test drive.

Ample Horsepower to Get You Moving

2019 Nissan Altima RearYour new 2019 Nissan Altima will be equipped with your choice of two powertrains, and both are designed to deliver an incredible driving experience. The Altima is now available with an updated and naturally-aspirated inline four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine. This powertrain offers between 179 to 188 horsepower.

The alternative engine is a turbocharged, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine with variable compression. It offers 248 horsepower. While both of these options are paired with a continuous variable transmission, the all-wheel drive drivetrain can only be paired with the 2.5-liter powertrain.
