Patrick Dennis has helped Nissan construct their complex and unforgettable in-cabin sound for almost 20 years. He's known as "Golden Ears" at the R&D facility he works at near Detroit. His long years of experience and natural gift for understanding sound make him a master at both premium and regular sound systems.
Dennis doesn't believe that he's been blessed with a natural gift, either, but he contributes his success to old-fashioned training. "It's that I've been trained to identify certain things in the music that other people might not be able to catch."
Nissan's outlook on in-cabin sound systems is unique in the industry. They strive for a "concert quality" sound that isn't easily found in the models of other brands. Dennis says, "We want the customers to feel like they're at a live show. That's the vision. We want to transport them there."
