What's New for the 2027 Nissan LEAF?

Nissan has completely reinvented the 2027 LEAF, shifting from a traditional low-slung hatchback into a sleek subcompact electric crossover.

What Are the 2027 LEAF Trims and Features?

The new LEAF is available in three distinct trim levels: S+, SV+, and Platinum+.

Featuring 18-inch steel wheels with sleek aero covers, the entry-level S+ trim boasts the lineup's longest driving range. It also offers a rewarding list of standard equipment. Highlights include dual 12.3-inch widescreen displays, LED headlights, and keyless entry.

Several upgrades come equipped on the LEAF SV+. While Google built-in makes the infotainment system even more enjoyable to use, heated front seats and rear-seat climate control vents enhance passenger comfort. Other features include larger 14.3-inch widescreen displays, 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, wireless charging, and synthetic leather upholstery.

At the top of the lineup sits the more luxurious Platinum+ trim. One of this trim's coolest features is its dimming panoramic roof, which eliminates the need for a traditional sliding sunshade. Meanwhile, a powerful-sounding Bose Personal Plus audio system enables you to get the party started. A power liftgate, multicolor ambient lighting, and heated rear seats are also available on the LEAF Platinum+.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2027 LEAF Have?

The LEAF's single-motor electric powertrain is rated to produce up to 214 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque, enabling you to enjoy a spirited daily commute. You can adjust the crossover's performance by selecting between four drive modes: Standard, Eco, Sport, and Personal. Every trim uses a front-wheel drive system. By capturing kinetic energy, regenerative braking with e-Step technology enables you to recharge the battery while you drive. Meanwhile, the combination of a low center of gravity and a multi-link rear suspension promotes responsive handling.

What Safety Features Does the 2027 LEAF Include?

Standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 equips the LEAF with several advanced safety features. Designed to monitor two vehicles ahead, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning gives you critical extra seconds to react to a potential collision. Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention and Intelligent Lane Intervention further help you avoid an accident. ProPILOT Assist, which combines Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist, also comes standard throughout the lineup.
