Nissan unveiled the redesigned Pathfinder on Feb. 4, 2021, and the new model is scheduled to arrive in Phoenix this summer. The popular SUV shows off updated features and an attractive new look. Check out video of its reveal below!
What's New for the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder?
The Nissan Pathfinder comes with many new changes for the 2022 model year. This year, its changes begin with a complete design change from the ground up. The Nissan introduces many "firsts" in 2022, including a new 12.3-inch infotainment system, class-leading towing power, a heads-up display, and a fortified standard safety package. The Nissan Pathfinder now has captain's chairs instead of the seating capacity for eight that was previously the only seating configuration option. 2022 Pathfinder Trims & Features
Four trim levels are available for the Nissan Pathfinder in 2022. The lineup begins with the base trim level called the S. The next three trims are the SV, SL, and the Platinum. You can get two packages for the SV and SL trims along with the regular trim levels, which are optional Premium packages. With the base trim comes an eight-inch infotainment system. You have the option to get larger nine-inch and 12.3-inch displays with higher-end trims as well. A new 10.8-inch head-up display is also offered for the Nissan Pathfinder this year. For 2021, Pathfinder's digital instrument display cluster has a sleek new look. Seating material ranges from cloth with the base trim to leather and quilted leather seats. There are also some new interior color schemes that you can choose to accentuate your Pathfinder's appearance. Ambient lighting is also new for the Pathfinder this year.
2022 Nissan Pathfinder Horsepower
Performance and power are even better for the Nissan Pathfinder before 2022. The Nissan Pathfinder now has standard trailer sway control for safer towing. The Pathfinder still has a base towing capacity of 3,500 pounds, but you can also get an increased tow rating of 6,000 pounds if you choose to get the towing package, which is also a feature that is included with the Platinum trim. A seven-position mode and terrain selector with sand, mud, and snow settings is now included, and the Pathfinder sports a new nine-speed transmission.
Nissan Pathfinder Safety Features
Nissan Safety Shield 360 is now standard with the Nissan Pathfinder beginning in 2022. Traffic sign recognition, blind spot intervention, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and ten airbags are standard.
