Newsweek readers are always eager to share their opinions about today's hottest car brands, and they've done so yet again for the 2026 model year. Nissan recently secured awards in seven Readers' Choice categories, a tremendous feat by a brand that's always focused on winning. Drivers certainly noticed in 2026.
Nissan Wins in Seven Categories
It's impressive enough that Nissan won in seven categories of the 2026 Newsweek Readers' Choice Awards, but it's even more impressive that they won in every category they were nominated in. With a 100% victory rate, it's certain that the folks at Nissan are celebrating another job well done.
It's a prestigious list of awards: No. 1 Best Brand Dealership Experience, Best Truck Brand, Best SUV Brand, and Best Car Brand. In addition to the general categories, specific Nissan models also won their respective categories. The Nissan Rogue was named the No. 1 Best New SUV. Nissan's Frontier truck won as the No. 1 Best New Truck. And the Altima grabbed No. 2 in its Best New Car Category. No. 1 was also a Nissan: The Sentra.
Tiago Castro, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing & Sales at Nissan and INFINITI, says, "Winning every category we were nominated in the Newsweek Readers' Choice Awards is a powerful vote of confidence from customers. From our cars, trucks, and SUVs to the dealership experience, it shows we're delivering what drivers truly value."
Newsweek's team also weighed in on Nissan's big wins. "This is an extraordinary achievement and a standout moment in this year's automotive Readers' Choice Awards program." The quality of Nissan models are clearly appreciated by Newsweek's readers. They were especially fond of the 2026 Nissan Sentra, a model that has more standard features than any other sedan in its class, and the 2027 Nissan Frontier (upcoming), which is noted for its "capability and thoughtful convenience."
For those who want to buy American, the Frontier is a great choice on that count as well, as it's proudly assembled in Nissan's Canton, Mississippi plant. This plant recently assembled their 1 millionth Frontier truck. All of these things reflect Nissan's standing as the fastest-growing mainstream brand in America.
