What's New for the 2027 Nissan Z?
Nissan's high-performance coupe returns for the 2027 model year with a refreshed front fascia featuring a retro-inspired grille. Redesigned wheels arrived as well. Meanwhile, Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic is the lineup's new exterior color.
Another big change is the race-bred NISMO trim's newly available six-speed manual transmission with a short-throw shifter. To further aid the Z NISMO's track capabilities, Nissan has outfitted it with GT-R-derived front brake rotors. Larger-diameter monotube shock absorbers help improve the Performance trim's ride quality and handling.
What Are the 2027 Z Trims & Features?
Nissan offers the new Z in three main trim levels: Sport, Performance, and NISMO.
Even the entry-level Sport trim promises to deliver an exhilarating driving experience. It also comes loaded with plenty of desirable features. Highlights include a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, an 8.0-inch NissanConnect touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and LED headlights with signature daytime running lights.
Upgrades, such as Akebono four-piston front brakes and a mechanical limited-slip differential, help transform the Performance trim into an even more serious sports car. Other premium features include 19-inch RAYS forged-alloy wheels, an eight-speaker Bose premium sound system, and a 9.0-inch touchscreen with navigation.
Aside from its special steering and suspension tuning, the Z NISMO is also calibrated to produce more power. Aerodynamic exterior styling gives this high-performance trim an especially aggressive look.
How Much Horsepower Does the 2027 Z Have?
Under the hood rests a 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine rated at 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. However, special engine tuning raises the Z NISMO's output to 420 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. Every trim now offers a choice between a six-speed manual and a nine-speed automatic transmission. A traditional, rear-wheel drive layout comes standard throughout the lineup.
What Safety Features Does the 2027 Z Include?
The 2027 Nissan Z offers several standard driver-assistance technologies. While Intelligent Forward Collision Warning can monitor two vehicles ahead, Blind Spot Warning enables you to change lanes with greater confidence. Other standard safety features include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Cruise Control, High Beam Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
