2017 Nissan Versa Overview

The 2017 Nissan Versa in Phoenix is a compact sedan fit for today's drivers. It's affordable, comes with a roomy backseat, offers several great amenities and delivers ample fuel economy. The Versa's sister model, the Versa Note, also offers plenty of bang for your buck and offers fantastic EPA ratings.

For 2017, both the Versa and Versa Note have been slightly revised. The former gets a new SV Special Edition package and minimal interior tweaks, while the latter sports fresh exterior enhancements. New Updates & Features

The Nissan Versa is offered in four trims: S, S Plus, SV and SL. Smaller in size, the Versa Note comes in S Plus, SV, SR and SL variants.

Versa Additions

The standard Versa gets a new front center console, Piano Black console lid, cup holder design and secondary 12-volt outlet. It also offers a new SV Special Edition package that adds on fog lights, 15-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, chrome accents on the front fascia, a 5-inch color display, satellite radio, Bluetooth, hands-free texting, variable intermittent wipers and a rearview monitor.

Versa Note Additions

A couple new exterior enhancements have been made to the Versa Note. The latest models receive a new V-motion grille and sweeping headlights that deliver an expressive appearance. It's also offered in two new paint options: Deep Blue Pearl and Monarch Orange.

An Efficient Engine

The 2017 Nissan Versa in Phoenix is equipped with a 1.6L four-cylinder engine. Also featured on the Versa Note is the engine that delivers 109 horsepower and 107 lb.-ft. of torque. On the Versa, the engine can be matched to either a five-speed manual or Xtronic transmission. The Versa Note is only available with an Xtronic transmission.

Versa models deliver an EPA-estimated 35 mpg combined, 31 city and 39 highway with the CVT. Manual models output 30 mpg combined, 27 city and 36 highway. The tiny Versa Note produces an EPA-estimated 39 mpg highway, which has been noted in many 2017 Nissan Versa reviews.

Safety Tech

Anti-lock brakes, airbags, traction control and stability control are standard on the Versa. Step up to the SL model and you'll receive a standard review camera, which helps assist drivers when pulling in and out of parking spaces.
