Nissan Vehicle Service Warning Indicators
Like many other vehicles, the dashboard of your Nissan will tell you when your car might be experiencing some internal trouble. Below are ten signs to look out for when you're trying to determine your vehicle's performance.

Airbag Fault
When your ignition is on, the airbag light will temporarily illuminate. Otherwise, it won't ever be on. The only other time this light will turn on is when your airbag system needs to be serviced for any reason.

Low Fuel Level Warning Light
If you notice this light is illuminated, it means your fuel is low. To get this light to turn off, refuel your vehicle.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
This warning light indicates a fault in your oil pressure. The first thing you can do to fix this problem is to check your oil and replace the missing amount. If the problem persists after refilling the oil canister, it's best to consult a professional maintenance team.

Service Vehicle Soon
If the service light is on, it means that the sensors in your vehicle have noticed some issues with the engine. Even if the problem is minor, the light will illuminate to indicate a necessary service stop.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
If there are any issues with your TPMS, the indicator light will switch on when you turn on your ignition. The light will remain illuminated while you're driving to remind you that the pressure is low. You should adjust your tire pressure as soon as possible. The indicator light will turn off after you add air to your tires and drive your vehicle at speeds greater than 16 to 20 mph.

Slip Indicator
This light will illuminate when your vehicle's traction control has been activated. The slip indicator indicates when road conditions are slippery. If light stays illuminated, service is required.

Charging System Warning Light
If your vehicle's engine is running and the warning light is on, you should turn the engine off and assess the generator belt. This light will stay on until you either tighten or replace the belt. If neither of those solutions help, consider scheduling some maintenance.

Brake System
The brake warning light functions for the parking and foot brake. The light will illuminate whenever the parking brake is applied, and the ignition is on. This light will also turn on when your brake fluid is low. You'll be able to see it when the car's engine is on and running without the parking brake applied.

Open Door Warning Light
When your car's ignition is on, the warning light will illuminate if your vehicle doors are open or ajar. This light will be on if your trunk is open or not properly latched.

Coolant Level Warning
This light will illuminate if the engine's coolant is too hot, which means your vehicle is overheating. This light will also turn on if the coolant in your car is too low.
