For the 2026 model year, the Altima's previous S and SL trims are no longer offered. However, new SV Special Edition and SR Midnight Edition trims have arrived.
What Are the 2026 Altima Trims & Features?
Nissan offers the new Altima in four trims: SV, SV Special Edition, SR, and SR Midnight Edition. The well-equipped Altima SV is now the lineup's entry-level trim. Some of its standard features include a 7.0-inch Advanced Drive-Assist Display, an 8.0-inch NissanConnect touchscreen, and Nissan Intelligent Key with push-button start.
Upgraded styling elements, such as 17-inch black alloy wheels and dual exhaust finishers, help the Altima SV Special Edition make a strong visual statement. A power sunroof, dual-zone automatic temperature control, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen are included as well.
Exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels and a unique grille give the SR trim an especially powerful appearance. This trim also benefits from a sports-tuned suspension, which further enhances handling. Atop the range sits the new SR Midnight Edition trim. Its 19-inch black alloy wheels and blacked-out exterior treatments create an even more stunning look.
How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 Altima Have?
Every new Altima is powered by a lively 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. It's rated to develop 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) sends power to the wheels. While front-wheel drive comes standard, available all-wheel drive optimizes grip when encountering challenging road conditions.
What Safety Features Does the 2026 Altima Include?
Safety Shield 360, which is a collection of advanced safety features, comes standard throughout the lineup.
