The 2019 Nissan Kicks is a similar version to the 2018 model. Since the car debuted in 2018, Nissan is trying to stick with a design scheme and performance components that seemed to have work well. Overall, it's a sporty, unique-looking crossover that offers efficiency, affordability, and style. With a relatively light weight, it has quick steering and a zip to it as you drive around town.

Which Trims & Features are Available for 2019?

There are three versions of the Nissan Kicks. The S is the base model. It comes with a 7" touch-screen display, a Siri eyes-free, voice-activated system, a Bluetooth hands-free phone system, a rearview monitor, and automatic emergency braking. It also comes with roof rails, keyless entry, a push-button start, 16" wheels, and three USB ports. When you upgrade to the SV model, you'll get all of the previously mentioned features plus 17" aluminum-alloy wheels, 7" advanced drive-assist display, automatic temperature control, and the capability to use either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

For some drivers who have a need to always be connected, the ability to use the Apple or Android systems can be a h huge selling point. Going up one more level puts you in a Kicks SR. The SR features LED headlights and LED accents, an Intelligent Around View monitor, a rear roof spoiler, and sport cloth seat trim with stitching and orange accents. If you prefer to ride in luxury, you can get a Kicks with a Premium package that includes an upgraded sound system from Bose and elegant interior accents.

It can achieve 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque while getting up to 31/36 city/highway MPG. The engine sends power to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission.

The main safety features are part of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility system. Automatic Emergency Braking uses radar technology to detect whether you're about to hit the car in front of you, giving you warnings and applying the brakes potentially before you have a chance to react. This feature is standard on all versions of the Kicks, as is automatic high-beam headlights, which can better illuminate the road if there is no oncoming traffic. Standard on the SV and SR trims are the Blind Spot Warning System and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. These systems, respectively, help you stay aware of vehicles that have slipped into your blind spot and those vehicles that are about to cross your path while you back out of a spot.
