What's New For the 2019 Nissan GT-R Model Review

The Nissan GT-R gets more impressive by the year, and 2019 is no exception. This year, the GT-R is more tech-savvy, performance-oriented, and stylish than ever. In fact, its performance capabilities are so impressive that it is known as "Godzilla" by its fans. With the addition of a new engine this year, which is a 3.8L, turbocharged six-cylinder engine that produces over 560 HP, the latest GT-R accelerates from 0-60 in less than three seconds. This puts it second only behind the Porsche 911 Turbo, which is one of the fastest cars in the world. While this feat is impressive, the GT-R also has a fine-tuned suspension and handling system that makes it accessible to all drivers. Other highlights of the latest GT-R are active noise cancellation that blocks out excess road and engine sounds and an updated interior that offers a large touchscreen display, leather seats, and a modern infotainment system with the works.

Which Trims & Features are Available for 2019?

The 2019 GT-R comes in four versions. The base model is called "Pure." Its notable standard features include Nissan's own infotainment and entertainment system, complete with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The GT-R also features satellite radio, and it is voice-operated for safety and convenience. The standard screen size is eight inches, which is larger than what you'll get on most base models. Also standard on the base model is a rearview camera with a monitor. A push-button start, dual-zone climate control, and cabin air filter are other standard amenities.

The Premium adds heated leather seats, a driver's seat that moves in eight ways, and a passenger's seat that moves in four ways. The front seats are heated, and the steering wheel is wrapped in leather. A Bose sound system with 11 speakers is standard. By upgrading to the Track Edition, you'll get leather seats with black and red contrast stitching. The shift knob and brake lever are both wrapped in leather, and the interior gets a carbon fiber-aluminum trim. The pedals have an aluminum trim too, and the interior features two USB ports. The audio controls are available on the infotainment system and the steering wheel for convenience. The highest trim level is the Nismo. It features a tachometer, leather and suede front seats, a steering wheel wrapped in trim-specific fabric, dual USB ports, and Bluetooth audio streaming technology.
