Nissan Murano Review for 2016 Model Year
Following a complete redesign last year, the Nissan Murano returns to the market with no significant changes for 2016. It continues to feature a spacious interior with seating for up to five passengers, a futuristic exterior design, excellent technologies and available advanced safety systems. Offered in four trims ¬- S, SV, SL and Platinum - the 2016 Nissan Murano is designed to cater to a variety of different drivers. If you'd like to learn more about the crossover's attributes and find out information about its competent V6 engine, look over our 2016 Nissan Murano review down below.
Now in its third generation, the Nissan Murano is more attractive than ever before. Bold and expressive, the crossover sports crisp character lines all across its body, a V-motion grille, LED boomerang headlights and a floating roof design that completes its exterior appearance. Inside, the 2016 Nissan Murano in Phoenix features Zero Gravity seats, a panoramic sunroof and a wide center console, along with an 8-inch color display offering NissanConnect with Navigation and Mobile Apps, Bluetooth hands-free calling, an 11-speaker Bose audio system and satellite radio. In addition to the aforementioned entertainment tech options, the crossover offers a whirlwind of excellent safety tech. Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Moving Object Detection are just a few of the safety components available on the new vehicle.
On the powertrain front, the 2016 Nissan Murano in Phoenix comes with a 3.5L V6 engine, delivering 260 horsepower and 240 lb.-ft. of torque. Available on either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive models, the engine is supported by a standard continuously variable transmission. Due to this exceptional setup, the crossover produces an EPA-estimated 24 mpg combined, 21 city and 28 highway, which puts it ahead of several models in its class. Front-wheel drive versions of Murano can also go from 0-60 mph in an impressive 7.5 seconds.
