Frontier Update from Phoenix Nissan Research

Shoppers have a lot to choose from when looking for their next midsize truck. As one of the most competitive segments today, the midsize truck market has a lot to offer. That's what makes the longevity and popularity of the Nissan Frontier so special. Sporting fantastic off-road handling, incredible power and worry-free dependability, the Nissan Frontier is one of Arizona's favorite midsize truck options for a lot of reasons.

The 2015 Nissan Frontier is available in two body styles: extended cab and crew cab. Also called the King Cab, the extended cab comes with a standard 6.1-foot cargo bed and folding rear seats. Opt for the crew cab and you'll get a choice of either a 5-foot or 6.1-foot cargo bed, as well as a split-folding rear bench.

Midsize truck shoppers can choose between five trim levels on both body styles: S, SV, Desert Runner, Pro-4X and SL. Since most shoppers will be looking to take the Frontier off-road, our 2015 Nissan Frontier review recommends choosing either the Desert Runner or the Pro-4X trims. Both trims come with excellent off-road features, such as underbody skid plates, locking rear differential, foglights, off-road tires, a first aid kit and a trip computer. New for its 2015 model year, the Nissan Frontier Desert Runner and Pro-4X come with a navigation system and a five-inch color display.

If luxury features are more your style, then opt for the 2015 Nissan Frontier SL in Phoenix. The SL trim comes with several luxury amenities that really make the truck standout. Features on the SL include a roof rack with crossbars, a rear-seat center console, heated mirrors, side steps, power front seats, leather upholstery and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Under the hood, look for the 2015 Frontier to sport two engine options. Our favorite was the 261hp 4.0-liter V6 engine that produces 281 lb.-ft. of torque. Off-roaders will love the automatic 4WD transmission on both the Desert Runner and Pro-4X trims.
