Specs at a Glance

The Nissan LEAF gets even better for the 2026 model year. Nissan adds more driving range and more premium interior options to spice up the daily commute. You'll also find that the 2026 version is redesigned as a smallish SUV, so its maneuverability remains reliable, while you also get a modern design. People love their SUVs, and now the LEAF is one of their most affordable choices. Pay careful attention to the differences between the LEAF S+ and LEAF SV+ to maximize your LEAF features.

Performance

Both trims are powered by an AC synchronous motor and generate 214 horsepower/261 lb-ft of torque. Driver-assistance features can lend a different feel to each trim, though. For example, the S+ comes with a rear sonar system, but the SV+ adds front and rear sonar, giving you greater control over parking. The LEAF has a range of 303 miles.

Appearance

The LEAF is a handsome small SUV that folks are proud to drive. S+ models boast 18" steel wheels with aero covers, while the SV+ comes with 18" aluminum-alloy wheels. SV+ models get a few extra exterior features that come in handy, such as the driver-side turn signal indicator on the mirrors. Both come with low and high-beam LED headlamps with Intelligent auto control and standard LED taillights. For the 2026 LEAF, you've got your choice of colors like Everest White and Deep Ocean Blue.

Features

The newest LEAF is packed with technology, boasting a 12.3" (S+) or 14.3" multi-function informational display (SV+). Wireless device charging is standard for the front of the SV+, but the S+ will lack this feature. Interior features vary greatly depending on what trim you choose. S+ models get a 6-way adjustable driver's seat, but SV+ models come with an 8-way adjustable driver's seat. SV+ trims also get TailorFit front seats and leatherette rear seats, while the S+ comes with cloth seats all around. SV+ trims also get extra air vents in the rear of the LEAF. For driver assist features, drivers can depend on standard features like brake assist, traffic side recognition, and hill start assist for both trims, but the SV+ will have a few more thrown in for good measure.
