Specs at a Glance
The spacious SUV known as the Murano is an excellent family vehicle. Not only does it manage to offer exhilarating power, but it is also fuel-efficient and smooth. To appeal to a wide range of drivers and their families, Nissan offers this SUV in four different trims. Two of the more popular options are the S and the SL. Our team is here to help buyers decide between them.
Performance
All 2021 Murano models come standard with a 3.5L V6 engine. As a result, both the S and SL trims create 260-horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. The Murano is an efficient option, giving drivers an estimated 28 mpg on the highway. A continuously variable transmission helps the SUV achieve this efficiency. Both the S and SL trims can be upgraded from front-wheel to all-wheel drive.
Appearance
The sleek 2021 Murano is pleasing to look at in all of its trim levels. At first glance, it may be hard to tell the S and the SL apart. They both have the V-Motion grille along with an LED head and taillights. They are available in striking colors such as Scarlet Ember, Deep Blue Pearl, and Sunset Drift. While the S sits on 18-inch alloy wheels, however, the SL has 20-inch ones instead.
Features
Despite being the entry-level model of the Murano, the S is incredibly well-equipped with popular features for the modern family. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, dual-zone automatic climate control, and four USB ports are just a few examples. There is also a standard suite of advanced driver aids, including driver drowsiness monitoring, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and much more.
When drivers choose to go with the Murano SL, they get leather upholstery and heated seats in both rows. Even the steering wheel is heated in this luxurious Nissan SUV. Tech upgrades are also included, with the SL getting an integrated navigation system and 11 speakers. Safety features added for this nearly top trim include parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and road sign recognition.
