With the growing demand for electric cars, Nissan is planning to expand its line of electric vehicles, starting with the all-new 2022 Nissan Ariya. This electric crossover SUV is expected to be in U.S. showrooms in 2021, and it will offer a healthy 300-mile driving range. The battery will have a capacity of 63 kWh with an optional larger pack with a capacity of 87 kWh. Check out some more of its projected specifications below.

Engine and Performance

The 2022 Nissan Ariya is getting additional features available in other models, including the torque-split system from the GTR sports model, that offers optional four-wheel drive derived from a dual electric motor configured either on the front or at the rear. With two drivetrain configurations, including two-wheel drive and Nissan's new "e-4ORCE" all-wheel drive, you'll get incredible performance. The e-4ORCE all-wheel offers a smooth and comfortable ride, providing balance that transforms the drive experience to sports-car level power. There are estimates that its speed can rise efficiently from 0 to 60 in five seconds, a feature available in high-end automobiles.

Battery Life and Charging Capabilities

With a full charge, the 2022 Nissan Ariya will cover approximately 300 miles. You can charge your Ariya at home using the regular 110V or 240V power outlets. Alternatively, you can use public charging stations. The Nissan Ariya features charge ports on both sides of the vehicle for ease of access and convenience. The model can also get charged using the fast-charging ports.

Interior, Comfort and Cargo Capacity

The 2022 Nissan Ariya has a futuristic interior with a minimalistic theme. Its interior boasts of a unique representation that deviates from the traditional automotive look. It has a low, flat floor, which boosts the spacious interior. The interior also comprises zero-gravity seats that create a comfortable ride.

Its dashboard displays a sleek design, with an additional dual 12.3-inch screen that acts as an infotainment screen and a digital gauge cluster. All models will have Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and other navigation features that will be standard for all models.

Safety Features

Crash tests are still pending for this model. However, there are optional driver-assistance features with the ProPilot 2.0. This feature enables drivers to relax from the steering wheel in specific driving areas. Other safety features include a pedestrian detection with an automatic emergency braking system, lane-keeping assist with departure alert, and an adaptive cruise control feature.
