"The Rogue is a comfy, roomy highway cruiser with many safety features and better gas mileage than any other non-hybrid compact SUV," he said. He had a lot to say about the Armada PRO-4X as well, noting that it offers 11.6 inches of maximum ground clearance, spectacular off-road angles for a big SUV, and 516 lb-ft of torque.
There has been a recent revival and respect for bold outdoor vehicles, and both the Armada and Rogue capitalize on the shift in public sentiment. U.S. News felt it was the perfect time to award brands like Nissan for their rugged outdoorsy designs. When considering models for the award, U.S. News looked at categories such as cargo space for road-trip vehicles and all-terrain tires and locking differentials for off-road models.
