What's New for the 2025 Nissan Z?

For the 2025 model year, no major updates were made to this iconic sports car.

What Are the 2025 Z Trims & Features?

Nissan offers the new Z in three main trim levels: Sport, Performance, and NISMO. The entry-level Sport trim's powerful performance and modern styling make it a satisfying choice. It also boasts an impressive list of standard equipment. You'll be surrounded by the latest tech features, including an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone connectivity and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Automatic climate control comes standard as well.

Equipped with a mechanical limited-slip differential for improved traction and handling, the Z Performance will appeal to a lot of driving enthusiasts. Upgraded brakes and 19-inch forged Rays wheels also help enhance this trim's capabilities. Interior upgrades include a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen with navigation, power seats with built-in heating, and an eight-speaker Bose premium sound system.

The race-bred NISMO trim sits atop the lineup. Aside from tuning this trim's engine to develop more power, Nissan also equips it with some high-performance upgrades. Highlights include a NISMO-tuned suspension, a heavy-duty oil cooler, larger front brakes, and additional chassis bracing.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 Z Have?

Motivating the Z is an exhilarating 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine. It's rated to develop 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. However, Nissan specially tuned the NISMO trim to develop an even more thrilling 420 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. All trims feature a traditional rear-wheel drive layout. While rev-matching technology makes the Z's six-speed manual gearbox a joy to use, the available nine-speed automatic transmission doesn't sacrifice a bit of performance.

What Safety Features Does the 2025 Z Include?

Several confidence-inspiring safety features come standard on the new Z. Designed to watch two cars ahead, Nissan's Intelligent Forward Collision Warning system alerts you to slow down when a potential crash is sensed. Meanwhile, Intelligent Cruise Control helps you to maintain a safe following distance. A blind-spot monitor, a rearview camera, parking sensors, and lane departure warning are included as well.
